Variations in Lp(a) levels with time, recorded in a third of clinically stable patients attending a lipid clinic in Argentina, suggest that repeat measurements may be needed, especially in those with borderline elevated Lp(a) levels.
This was the conclusion of Dr Pablo Corral and colleagues who carried out a retrospective analysis of Lp(a) levels in patients who had been tested at least twice, a minimum of four months between measurements.
