Elevated Lp(a) is associated with incident venous thromboembolism (VTE) after adjustment for established thrombotic risk factors, with similar associations for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), according to results of a retrospective cohort study with data collected from April 1997 to January 2026.
