Professor Juan Patricio Nogueira graduated in Medicine from Cordoba University, Argentine, having specialized in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetology and Metabolic Diseases. He has created a research center in endocrinology, nutrition and metabolism at the national university of formosa. Nowadays, he is a researcher at the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET).
He gained his doctoral (PhD) fellowship at the Marseille University (Marseille, France), performing apolipoprotein kinetic in chylomicron studies using stable isotopes.
Professor Nogueira was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition, School of Medicine, University of Florida, Gainesville, (2023), where he worked about NAFLD and lipids metabolism.
Professor Nogueira is the President of the Endocrinology Federation of Argentine Society and Past-President of Lipids Argentine Society.
Member for Argentine by the Federation of the Americas, International Atherosclerosis Society. His main research areas and topics of interest are related to Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome, Familial Hypercholesterolemia, Lipoprotein(a), cardiovascular risk factors, Bariatric Surgery., obesity and its complications, lipid-lowering therapies and management of obesity and related disorders.
Its current research objectives are a record in northern Argentina of metabolic determinants of elevated lipoprotein (a) and associated risk of cardiovascular disease.
He has authored over 60 original publications in international journals and made over 100 scientific communications at national and international meetings.
