The Lp(a)HORIZON cardiovascular (CV) outcomes trial of pelacarsen in more than 8,000 patients with elevated Lp(a) and established CV disease did not meet its primary endpoint of reducing the risk of CV events, a composite of CV death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, non-fatal stroke, and urgent coronary revascularisation requiring hospitalisation, compared to placebo.1
